About the project

Mavericks on the Bay, a charming seaside restaurant located in a small coastal town, had a vision to establish a brand identity that perfectly encapsulated the laid-back atmosphere of their locale and their commitment to serving fresh, locally-sourced seafood. They sought to revitalise their online presence and engage a wider audience to boost customer traffic and enhance their reputation as a culinary hotspot.

Reflecting the marina’s charm

The journey began with a brand identity makeover. We designed a logo that artfully combined a stylised wave with the word "Mavericks." The wave symbolises the allure of the ocean, evoking a powerful and dynamic impression. This simple yet impactful logo perfectly captured the spirit of the restaurant, resonating with both locals and tourists alike.

Digital Transformation

Complementing the new brand identity, we undertook a comprehensive digital transformation. We crafted a visually captivating and user-friendly website that showcased Mavericks on the Bay's unique offerings. The website featured clear and concise information about the restaurant, paired with stunning photography of their delectable dishes and picturesque surroundings. This immersive experience enticed visitors to explore further and fostered a sense of anticipation.

Social Media Strategy

To extend their reach and engage with a broader audience, we devised a strategic social media plan. By creating engaging content highlighting the restaurant's delicious cuisine, inviting ambiance, and coastal charm, we cultivated a vibrant social media presence on Facebook and Instagram.

Diversifying & Extending Reach

Expanding on the brand identity, we incorporated it into various physical elements to create a cohesive and memorable experience for visitors.

Vehicle graphics for staff vehicles were designed with the iconic logo, ensuring that interactions with the brand are seen from across the bay.

Strategically placed signage throughout the bay reinforced the restaurant's presence and identity. The sign's coastal-inspired design harmonised perfectly with the marinas surroundings.

T-shirts featuring the logo shortly became a part of the staff's uniform, adding to the sense of belonging and unity while creating an additional branding opportunity within the restaurant's vicinity.

Playful Seafood Illustrations

Adding a touch of whimsy to the menu, we have incorporated hand drawn seafood illustrations throughout. These playful illustrations capture the essence of the restaurant's focus on fresh and locally sourced seafood, inviting guests to embark on a visual journey of the marina’s treasures.

With a desire to continually surprise and delight their customers, we regularly refresh their menu every six months.
